F.H.A. held its annual installation of officers and new members in October, '64. This year we did away with all the silliness. At first we tried to get just senior high girls to join, but it didn't work out. So now the group consists of 8th grade girls and senior high girls. F.H.A. is open to all girls in grades 8 through 12. We have held several bake sales this year. One was at the School Fair and the other was at the Halloween Party. February 8 was the most important, because the proceeds went to C.A.R.E. and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Library. As this yearbook goes to press, the club is planning on holding a Mother and Daughter Banquet. It will be held at a local restaurant. We haven't decided yet as to time and place. I would like to thank our most capable advisor for all her help and advice this year. Thank you, Miss Yatarola. , , , Virginia Young President F.H.A. The purpose of our club is to aid foreign students in getting settled in our community and school affairs. We also plan on keeping students we send abroad informed as to the current events happening at home. Our club provides entertainment for the exchange students visiting our school during the school year as well as in the summer months. Plans have been made to sell shares to people in the community with the goal of raising funds to send students abroad and bring a foreign student into our community as part of the exchange program. 59
