The Leavenworth Pen mimeographed school newspaper, is published by the L.C.S. press club each month. Profusely Illustrated, this year's issues contain such regular features as, senior sketches, the roving reporter, Dear Madeline, and the Perless Prophet Predicts, plus through coverage of sports, music, art, and club and class news, The foreign exchange student also writes a regular column. Throughout the year, the staff conducts student polls on such issues as smoking, in February the staff conducted a Matchmaker's questionnaire. The Leavenworth Pen is a member of ESSPA fthe Empire State School Press Associationj and in September 1964 a number of staff members attended the Annual conference in Syracuse. The dramatic club was or- ganized in 1963. The L.C.S. dramatics Club calling itself The New-Vic Company is com- posed of students interested in the theatre arts, acting, makeup, lighting and scenery. Although the club has not produced any plays, so far dur- ing the 1964-65 school year, it is planning to stage some one act plays in the spring.
