EXEC TI VE FICERS-PAST A D PRESEN ,J CDR EDWARD S. FINN Commander Finn, a native of California, graduated from the University of Washington in 1961. He re- ceived his commission after attending Officers Candi- date School and was then assigned to USS SHIELDS IDD-5965, homeported in San Diego. Subsequent tours at sea include nucleus crew assignments on both USS REEVES CDLG-245 in 1964 and USS WABASH CAOR-53 in 1971. After graduation from Naval De- stroyer School in 1966 he served onboard USS HAR- WOOD CDD-8615 and USS TOPEKA QCLG-85. His latest tour of duty was as Executive Officer onboard USS LEAHY CCG-161 and on 27 July he departed LEAHY to take command of the USS MEYERKORD IFF-10581. Commander Finn is married to Nancy Norfleet Anthony of Jacksonville, Florida and has two sons, Brian and Kevin. CDR ROBERT D. M OSER CDR Robert D. Moser was graduated from the Uni- versity of Cincinnati in 1966. After completion of Offi- cer Candidate School, he was commissioned and or- dered to the U.S. Naval Submarine School. CDR Moser served aboard USS DARTER CSS576D through 1972, serving as the Head of All Departments during his tour. After completion of his tour of duty with Corn- mander Fleet Air Mediterranean and Commander Submarine Group Eight, CDR Moser attended the Surface Warfare Officer's School. Upon completion, he served as Weapons Officer with the USS THOMAS C. HART QFF-10921. CDR Moser's last tour of duty was with the Atlantic Command serving in the Unified and Fleet Operations Directorate. He was graduated from the George Wash- ington University with a Masters Degree in Manage- ment. He is also a graduate of the Armed Forces Staff College. CDR Moser is married to the former Lois Esther Eggerding and they have two children, Kelli Lynn, 10 and Robert Jr., 5.

CAPTAIN CHARLES H ULRICH CUMMANDING OFFICER Captain Ulrich is a native of Hutchinson, Minneso- ta. He attended the University of Minnesota and was graduated from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis in 1954. Captain Ulrich has commanded the USS SOMERS QDDG-345 and the USS MALVERN CPC-5801 and served as Executive Officer of the USS ROWAN KDD- 7821. Other sea assignments include Engineer of both the USS ORISKANY QCVA-345 and the USS HARRY E. HUBBARD QDD-7485. He was a member of the pre- commissioning crew of the USS BAINBRIDGE QDLGN-255 and remained in that ship during subse- quent outfitting and deployment. Captain Ulrich has also served as Surface Operations Officer on the staff of Commander Attack Carrier Striking Force Seventh Fleet CCTF-775. He has served ashore as the Senior Member of the Pacific Fleet Propulsion Examining Board, the Direc- tor of the Instrumentation Department of the Naval Oceanographic Office and as a staff member to the Assistant Secretary of Defense CAtomic Energyl. He completed Surface Nuclear Power Training and was assigned as a staff member to the prototype reactor plant at Idaho Falls, Idaho. He has received post gra- duate training at The Ohio State University and was awarded a Master of Geodetic Science Degree. He re- ported aboard as Commanding Officer of the USS LEAHY QCG-161 on November 11, 1978, and has re- cently completed his second Western Pacific Cruise as Commanding Officer of the Sweet Sixteen. Captain Ulrich is married to the former Carolyn Joan Bastey of Bangor, Maine. The family, including Susan and Robert, resides in San Diego, California.
