When we retu ned as Sophomores we were more successful than ever even though our class had drmrnrshed to forty seven membe s More of our classmates took part rn nearly all the school actrvrtres and Reporter and Vera Karser Hrstorrarr The class party was held on October 21 wrth the Semors as honored guests The outstand mg, comedy The Campbells Are Comrng was successfully presented on December 9 and 10 On February 21 we found ourselves the proud owners of class rrngs The Lamp Lrght ers Serenade opened rts doo s for the annual banquet and prom on May 13 After another nrne hundred twenty frve school hours of learnrng vxhat was necessary and avordmg what was possrble we we e grven another two thousand two hundred erght hours of rest before we were to become mrghty Semors Our Senror year p oved to us that all our hrrd work had not been ln vain for now we could walk down the halls followed by the worslupplng gazes of the underclassmen Un der t h e capable sponsorshrp of M s Lucy show that our hearts were rn the rrght places ue gave a rrp roarrng Harvest Dance for the whole school on September 15 The prrze for the best class stunt was presented to the Sop homores and the rest of tht evenmg was spent rn dancrng square dances polkas congas waltzes and fox trots We all went western on Octobe 6 and 7 at our Old West Senur Farr An Indran war dance was the feature of the floor show on Octobe 7 Vrola Zanca nella was crowned queen of the Farr by Wal ter Johnson Governor of Colo ado On Nov ember 3 we were the guests of the Junror class at a party grven rn the band room 'lhe new gear was started out rreht on Januarv 1 by electrng a staff to get busy on the annual February 8 was a red letter day because our orders went out for ou caps md gowns For he tlrud year t Class of 51 walked otf wrth the Interclass Basketball Tournament by beatrng the Freshmen w rth 1 score of 2196 One could feel the excrtemeaf rn the rr on Ap rl 26 as the Semors got decked out for the annual Slouch Day Career Day on Aprrl 27 took us away from our work for frve hours as we 1o'rrr1eyed to Salrda The unde cla smen had anothe vwlrole day of peace and quret on May 1 when th Semors decrded that they needed to take a rest from school work nd skrpped On May 12 we put on our glad rags for we were lnvrted to a banquet and prom grven by the Junror Class Class Day on May 25 was a sad day for some and a happy day for others for we ealrzed that soon we were to go out rnto the cruel cruel World alone The next day May 26 we decrded to take a lrttle trrp to Glenwood to cheer ourselves up Tuesday evenrng May 29 found us on the stage of the Elks Ope a House recervmg our drplomas That nrght we became adults for we were no longer a part of the gay carefree hrgh school set All together It has been
