H ami Library Lower: Bliss lillrron :intl Bliss Nlziril elif-el. out Iioolts, The citizens of Le Roy are especially proud of the lN'oodward Memorial Library. one of the finest libraries in lYestern New York. that was made possible by the generous donations of the XYoodward family. Recently. Le Roy experienced a great loss. with the death of one of New York's greatest philanthropists, Mr. Ernest L. XX'oodward. Mr. XYoodward was a great man. not only interested in this community and its welfare. but in the furthering of both public and higher education. ln his will Mr. XYoodward left to the library, in a trust fund, one hundred thousand dollars. a gift which will be gratefully appreciated by the future generations of Le Roy to come. -A 1 5 The library building is a heautilul addition to both the school canipus and the village. lt holds on its shelves a complete and up to date eolleetion of literature which is constantly being used hy the high school and XX'oleott Street students alike. The librarians. Bliss llurton and Bliss XYard are in great demand hy harried students who have an assignment to hand in the next period. They are also sought after hy those who want a good book they can read in a few days or so. Hur hats are off to these two people who are always so ready to help us.
