Most of the time things were really great. I made friends and acquaintances and I really ap- preciate all these wonderful people. I want to thank everybody for their help and their friendship and I promise you that I shall always remember my stay here in America and especially here at Layton High School. -Willy Though there were some difficulties,

errata Loilllemg I. My year in America has been one of the most busy, and at the same time most enjoyable years in my life. To me it was a challenge to adapt to a com- pletely different society and a new way of life. The year as AFS-student how- ever, turned out to be an interesting experience I never will forget. l had to face new situations, take re- sponsibility, and take my own decisions without anybody telling me what to do. I also learned that there is another America than the pollutioned, crowded, and busy cities we hear about in Nor- way. For instance, I never knew there was so much beautiful nature and un- populated area left in the country. What I will miss the most however, is the people I have got to know here. First of all my host family, but also thanks to my friends of Layton High, Mr. Barber, my teachers, and very patient counselor! -Bente
