Certificates awarded on the satisfactory completion of each grade. The Conservatory has seven Grand Pianos. GRADUATION COURSES To students desiring to do more comprehensive work for personal culture or with a view to taking up Music as a profession, Graduation Courses are offered with Piano Voice,-Organ, Band and Orchestral Instruments, Composition Harmony and Theory or Expression as principal subjects. CLASSES IN HARMONY AND GENERAL MUSICAL KNOWLEDGE Conducted by Principal Peter LeSueur These classes meet once a week and each session lasts an hour. Open to all music students, singers and players, whether pupils of the Conservatory or not, who wish to round out their musical education and ensure for themselves a solid foundation in good musicianship. Attendance at this class for two years or its equivalent in private' lessons is required from each candidate for graduation, except Elocution. Jimmy Modica's band furnished the music. The ballroom was cleverly decorated with roses and colorful balloons. The delight of the evening was the crowning of the king and the queeng Bill Haensly and Nancy Coates. It started with the Senior girls who had been members be- fore. They, in turn, picked more girls from grades 10, ll, and 12. Lorraine Poulson was elected presidentg Marjorie Burick, vice-president, Audrey Redpath, secretary, Peggy Bowers, treasurer, and Miss Jean Forsyth as faculty adviser. These girls take charge of play-days and intra-mural sports and are working towards better characters, sportmanship, and leadership. ALUMNAE GAME What promises to be an exciting game is that scheduled to be played between a grouv of senior girls and a few alumnae girls in basketball. As the yearbook goes to press we have not yet decided who won th game.
