For twelve years now, we seniors have made our way upward through the grades, utilizing the facilities of our school district and growing with them. May we express our thanks to the Board of Education for its untiring efforts to provide for Lawrence educational opportunities second to none. 8

T has been said that even though lack of skill accounts for many failures in life, personality shortcomings such as lazi- ness, frivolity, carelessness, or lack of cooperation account for as many. ln other words, Know-how is still mighty important but so is the matter of human relations. lt may be true in certain iob areas that initial promotions depend largely on skill, bu: when a person has reached his first supervisory level, human qualities suddenly loom large. We can do much about both attributes in school and after. Good luck! ?A-WdJ6L'o'U'dL IVING in this complex, present-day world requires that each of us moves carefully and cautiously lest serious mistakes be made. As seniors you will soon be graduating from high school and embarking on varied paths. Whether it be college, industry or business, one needs to think carefully and to be able to express himself clearly. We are prone with so many modern forms of communication to rely on what others say and do and not on our own thinking. Oftentimes our thinking may be good but we are unable to convey these thoughts to others. Lawrence High School has provided definite aids for a suc- cessful future. May each attain his desired goal. Y. ONGRATULATIONS! You are about to graduate from Law- rence High School. This is a distinct accomplishment. Your diploma signifies that you have made numerous adiustments to meet standards and to abide by the regulations of an accepted institution. As you go on your way through life, may you continue to meet new challenges and experiences with courage and the determination to do that which is right and proper. fngfy
