During this cruise we ran the engines over 40,000 miles. Both engine rooms have been maintained in peak operating Conditions to be able to respond quickly and professionally to any and all conditions or emergencies. Watches were stood at wartime conditions, which meant very little time off, but that was the price paid to maintain peak operability. M Division is also responsible for making fresh water for the crew and feed water for the boilers. Without either of these the ship could not function. While underway the watch in Main Control is responsible for maintaining the ship's speed and answering all Engine Order Telegraph bells. In addition, all engineering status flows through this watch station to be logged and reported to the bridge. As a team M Division is unsurpassed in the fleet. Pride and Professionalism is our Number One Priority. 75 'if--V'-: .- 1,-,:..fn-.',f.-4,-W11.-.t'.,..,.f..',', .
