The Yeomen never have a lax period either inport or underway. They are kept, busy with keeping up with the Captain's high rate of incoming and outgoing correspondence. They maintain files of all instructions and directives issued by our command and our Bosses. Along with their normal responsibilities they have been busy preparing for the upcoming Command Inspection. It has been said that A war can't be won or a job complete until the paperwork is done. The Personnelmen are responsible for maintaining each crewmember's service record. This is vital as ap man cannot advance or be considered for any special programs unless his service record is accuate and up to date. The Personnelmen constantly keep crewmen aware of what is needed for advancement, changes in programs and qualifications achieved. They have also been working hand-in-hand with the Yeomen in preparing for the Command Inspection. The Corpsmen job is one of the most important on board a sea going vessel. They are trained to react to any type of medical emergency. When not tending to sick crewmen they are updating health records and inspecting food preparation areas and living areas. The health and well being of each and every crewmember is the number one priority of these dedicated men. The Postal Clerk is a one man post office. Most crewmembers would agree he has the most important job onboard, especially when mail is received after days and sometimes weeks with no letters. P.C. has handled over 8000 pounds of incoming mail and over 4000 pounds of outgoing mail. P.C. provides every service that a stateside post office does and at some of the most unusual hours. In all the division has many functions to keep the ship cruising. They all work hand-in-hand to get the job done with each rating helping the other in any way they can.
