Row 3: Frisbie, Pettus, Frazier, Childress, Griffin, Frazier, Griffin, Rayfield, Cox, Nix, Crowder, Kennedy. Row 4: Lance fManagerj, Myrick, Nelson, Roberts Hudgins, Knowles, Stafford, Slagle, McKissack, Slater, Trapp, Johnston, Stotser and McRee flvlanagersj, When the regular season began, Mr. Smotherman had joined the coaching staff, Returning to the gird- iron this season were Lettermen Bobby Brewer, Carlton Rochell, Tyson Robertson, Randall Kennedy, Sonny McCrory,Charles Boyd, Jim Bentley,Jerry Thompson, Tommy Brown, Jimmy Frisbie, Gene Ashmore, and Kenneth Pettus, During the course of the season, Robertson, Bentley, and McCrory were lost to the team: but twenty-one players lettered. Two players received honors from the Lawrenceburg Quarterback Club: Bobby Brewer received a trophy as the team's most valuable player and Carlton Rochell received one as the team's most outstanding blocker. One disappointment of the season was the post- ponement, due to bad weather, of the Springfield game, to which everyone had been looking forward.
