N Majorettes on Fifth Avenue. x mu wi me I Band Marching down Fifth Avenue. , 100 NEW YORK March 17, 1968 was a big day for the Laurel High School Band and their director Mr. Bouk- night. This was the day that they had been waiting for. When Mr. Bouknight was notified that Laurel band would be able to participate in the New York St. Patrick's Day Parade the band members started busily making and selling fudge to help fi- nance their trip. They earned a great deal of money in one week and on March 17th they boarded the bus for New York.
