The functions of government were taught to his civics classes. In his other classes past happenings of the world were presented, discussed, and unfortunately, tested upon. Nlr. IVlr. Rooker Strives to Develop Logic Besides teaching, Nlr. Jacob Rooker had other thing which he enjoyed, which were his hobbies, hunting and nshing. lVlr. Rooker, who had been at Laton for nine years, was currently teaching woodshop and drivers' training. His goal in teaching was to see a vocational building program developed here at Laton. lVlr. Rooker, who obtained a degree in Industrial Arts from FSU, said that 50 Rooker 1 3 it was important for students to take his classes, tlbecause they interact with other students, develop logic in construction, and in later years the experience will benetit them. 1.
