Mrs. O'Brien Teaches Self Awareness NJ Tha This year Mrs. Stephanie O'Brien taught the classes of Home Decorating, Psychology! Marriage and Family, Vocational Clothing, and Foods, In her Psychology class, Mrs. O'Brien's goal was to teach her students to be able to go out into the world and function effectively on their own and be comfortable with themselves as a person knowing their potentials. Mrs. O'Brien said she was pleased with the progress of most of the students in all her classes. 1. Mrs. O'Brien converses with her class. 2. Jena Whitcomb makes her Christmas stocking in Home Decorating. 3. Emily Bertao concentrates on cutting out her project. 4. Mark Coelho welds on a trailer. 1 Helping students develop into good productive citizens was Mr. John Martin's goal in teaching. Mr. Martin also said that it was important for students to take his classes because they combine both academic and vocational skills together. He was in his 8th year here at Laton High, and taught vocational agricultural shop, power mechanics, small engines and metal shop. Mr. Martin obtained a degree in Industrial Arts from Fresno State, and a teaching credential in Voc. Ag. and Industrial Arts.
