IVI asterpieces Created In lVlrs. Arakelian s Clan P .I It is not the pencil, paintbrush, or the hands that create a work of art, it is the mind. And many minds were busy creating masterpieces in art classes this year. Taught by Mrs. Adeline Arakelian, drawing, painting, ceramic, weaving, macrame, leather and rugmaking were all a part of the art and craft classes. Nlrs. Arakelian also had an English class and an art, music appreication class. 1. Ceramics is only one of the many facets of the art world that Mrs. Arakelian teaches in her classes. 2. D. Mrs. Bennetts Get Students Involved If - ji... Surrounded by a world of far off people from the past, present future, any kind of plant or you could imagine, movie from cowboys and Indians to Reynolds and Farrah Faucet Would you think there was a like this on campus? Well, there t was the library. the most quiet room in You could read the book of choice in peace and quiet. If you to read about love stories or ace cars, the library was the place or you. and i 9' Our librarian, Mrs. Carol Bennetts, liked to get students involved in using the library. She was attending class at Fresno State to complete a Masters in English. Her hobbies were sewing, gardening, horseback riding, and reading. Mrs. Bennetts lived on a small farm in the country. As a teacher she wanted to be able to keep students interested in classes. She taught American Literature, Library, Study Hall and eighth grade writing. The high point of her year was Christmas vacation! N55 if . X U X Y 1 5 - civil, E t xx 4 1. Mrs. Bennetts straightens disorderly books. 2.
