Spanish and MAYO Combine This year the Spanish Club and Mexican American Youth Organization came under the instruction of just one advisor. Although taking on twice the load instructor Larry Gillard stated, 'XI was very happy moderating both clubs. The clubs were combined in a spirit of working together and organization. The students were really terrihc and the burrito sales this year were a fantastic success. Both Spanish and MAYO clubs realized large increases in membership this year with MAYO capturing first place in the Homecoming float competition. If the clubs do not have the necessary funds for a trip to Great America this year, a huge picnic will be held for students and their families. The two clubs being combined to form one, yet retaining their individualities, elected as their officers, President, Albert Barreno, Vice President, Alice Hernandez, Secretary-treasurer, Helen Brown.
