The Sophomore class started the year off by selling candles. Also, they sold hot dogs at the football games. The highlight of the year was being able to order their class rings and sweaters. A Q4 Magic and Mystery Enchant Evening Night settled in on a football game as the spectators and four girls lplus their escortsl waited for the announcer to say the name that would be Laton's 1978 Homecoming Queen. t'Marylou Morris , blared over the loudspeakers and the crowd went wild with excitement. The three other girls, Leslie Coffman, Landy Fike and Analia Toste, were just as excited as Marylou, and just as happy. This turned out to be the highlight of a slightly disappointing game. The Homecoming Dance proved to be the perfect ending of a magical night. 1. Escorts from left to right: Craig Ruch, Scot Goble, Steve de Vries and Tommy Menezes. 2. MAYO's Float won the club competition with the theme of Halloween. 3. Memories- cheerleaders and peps from Laton's bygone era, assisted with the cheering of the game.
