traverse all types of terrain in their quest to be champions. Though the J,V.'s and Varsity hnished third and fifth respectively, it was an enjoyable season for all concerned. Coach Richard Petersen was pleased with everyone's improvement throughout the season. A late start in training hampered the Mustangs in the early going but persistence enabled them to come back to a good season. The loss of runners from the previous year and the absence of a girls' team were disappointments of the season. Coach Petersen remains optimistic, though, expecting a strong team next year. Attempts will be made to enter races during the summer to provide runners with valuable experience. This will furnish good preparation for the season to follovv. Frosh-Soph Survive Tough Season With a large team and even more enthusiasm, the Frosh-Soph Volleyball team fought their way through a tough season this year. With a record of 4-6, it would seem that the team did not play well, but Coach Kim Brown said, UThe girls learned a lot and gained some valuable experience. When a team member was questioned about the year, the reply was that they had a great year and an enjoyable season. It was also stated that their losses did not get them down for the next game. 1.
