Senior Prophecy If was 'rhe brighf and shining morning of June 30, I960. I climbed fhe sfeps of a magnificenf edifice. This sfrucfure was an audiforium-gymnasium. abouf fo be dedi- cafed fo fhe sfudenfs of Lafon High. who had been expecfing if since I935. On fhe fop sfep I was mef by fhe principal, MABLE FLORES, who informed me fhaf fhe class of 36 would be presenf af fhe dedicafion. On inspecfing fhe building I discovered a large bronze plafe bearing fhe inscrip- fion, GEORGE LOUDEN. ARCHITECT. Following fhe sfrains of fhe sfirring music. I came upon a freshman sfaring in ad- mirafion af fhe orchesfra. Furfher inquiry proved him fo be fhe son of HARLEY ADAMS, fhe guesf orchesfra leader. While lisfening fo Harley's melodious sfrains, I felf a fap upon my shoulder. Turning I saw none ofher fhan Mr. Telonicher. sporfing a long gray beard. He informed me fhaf fhe class of 36 was all presenf on fhe grounds somewhere. I had been searching five minufes when I heard voices. When I furned, I found myself sfanding face fo face wifh DEAN SHELDON, BILL USELTON. Confinuing fhe search we found LEONARD MEDICO and THELMA MCALLISTER discussing fhe movie problems of Hollywood and 'rallcing abouf fheir lafesf roles. Soon I was surprised fo see DOROTHY MYERS, INEZ JEWETT and NAOMI HEDRICK discussing fheir problems af fhe offices where fhey were head sfenographers.
