The Team members showed good sporTsmanship aT all Times and even in deTeaT They cheered each oTher on. lnTerclass volleyball compeTiTion was held aTTer The girls had Tinished Their league games. The juniors deTeaTed The Freshmen TirsT. Then The Seniors Trampled on The Sophomores. ln The Senior vs. Junior playoTT The Seniors were again vicTorious and were declared The class volleyball champions oT The LaTon l-ligh. Girls' Baseball The girls' baseball Team has made a greai deal of progress lhis year. I+ was +he lirsf lime in fhe hisiory of lhe school +ha'r ihere were more lower classmen oul' for baseball ihan upperclassmen, making compefiiion for posilions very keen. The firsf praclice game of ihe season was played wilh Kingsburg. Anofher was played wiih Selma, and lrhere was a relurn engagemenl wiih Kingsburg. Miss Ander- son, ihe coach, gave lhem many new ideas in barring and fielding from which 'rhey benefifled greaily. Each game 'rhey played saw a consfanlly improving Team, which made fhe season a very encouraging one. League games were played wiih Kerman, Kingsburg, and Riverdale.
