STarTing The season off wiTh pracfice games wiTh Hanford and various oTher neighboring Towns, The Team was soon ready for The league games. The TirsT game was wiTh Sierra and was quife a slugging affair, wifh Sierra geTTing II hiTs, and LaTon I3. Balderama and Rifchie goT Three-base hiTs and Claude BracT4eTT was wallced six Times. l.aTon came off The field wiTh The honors and also wiTh a greaf deal of experience. The second game of The season was wiTh CaruThersy Two poor innings enabled Carufhers To score quiTe heavily againsf LaTon, affer which They seTTled down and played a good sTeady game. Buf Carufhers finally succeeded in winning The game. The nexf league game was wiTh Riverdale. The Team funcfioned perfecTTy and soon ran up a large score.
