Merit Committee The merit committee is composed ot one representative student trom each class and one trom the student body at large. This body supplements the worlc ot the student body council in the matter ot selt-government. The purpose ot the merit system is to stimulate activities indicative ot good citizenship. It provides a means ot rating the citizenship standards ot individual students. Changes in merits may be recommended by members ot the taculty or by students with the signed approval ot the appropriate taculty member. The merit committee has been in ettect at the Laton High School tor approximately six years. The students this year are fortunate in having a group ot conscientious students to conduct the important business involved. The sessions held every Thursday during activities period are always busy ones. The members are: Chairman, Glenn Price: Freshman Representative, Neva De Hart: Sophomore Representative.
