I Junior Class History One morning in early SepTember, IQ33, a kind sun poured his yellow rays on a gawky group oT some 40 adolescenTs. LaTer in The day each one oT Those same Treshies was herded inTo his respecTive classroom To begin his high school career. Their TirsT year was devoTed mosTly To becoming acquainTed. As The days passed by They became more and more familiar wiTh Their surroundings. The Timid expression ThaT each had worn aT The beginning oT The year had been replaced by one OT audaciTy and boldness. However, They learned ThaT Treshmen had To obey rules, and They were looking Torward To The Time when They could become Sophs. Their Sophomore year saw some oT The class's laTenT abiliTy come To The surface: Their posiTion Then gave Them The righf To exercise Their power oT iniTiaTion wiTh saTisTying resulTs even Though The iob was a Tough one. Thus The class made iTs mark on The LaTon High School as a class +ha+ had spiriT, iniTiaTive, and ambiTion. Their Junior year sTarTed OTT wiTh Glenn Dooley as presidenT and KaTherine Shockley as secreTary and Treasurer. Their year has been quiTe an evenTTul one. They have walked oTT wiTh Two inTer- school conTesTs: a TickeT selling conTesT Tor l-learTs and HaTs and The annual pledge conTesT.
