cLAss HISTORY J' The Class of 57 began rts twelve year Journey through the halls of the Latham Pubhc Schools rn September of 1945 The class was composed of thrrteen eager young pupils They were I. A. Baldwm Bobby Buck Gall Greever Lowell Howell Lrnda Hrldrbrand Larry Kent Larry Pnce Janet Ryan Judy Haselwood Johnny Rams Saundra Moore Bob Reed and Gene Reed Mrs Bob Craft and Mrss Lrllran Owens were our teachers Dunng our second grade year Janet Ryan Saundra Moore Larry Kent Lowell Howell and Gene and Bob Reed moved Margle Cassel and Dorothy Boyer came to Latham and helped fill these vacancres Mrss L1ll1an Owens was our teacher Our thrrd grade class lost Dorothy Boyer but gamed Mrke Hlldrbrand and Jean Logsdon Mrs Josephrne Peebler was our teacher Mary Ruth Cousrns left our class 1n the fourth grade Mrs Peebler was also our teacher for thrs year When we entered school the fall we were flfth graders we found we had lost Johnny Rams and Mrke Hlldrbrand but Denms Rrckner had come to Jorn us Mrs Rena Starkey was our teacher Durmg our srxth grade year Bobby Buck Jrmmy Calhson and Denms Rrckner moved We gamed Marrlyn Selvage Once agam Mrs Starkey was our long sufferrng teacher In our seventh year Jlmmy Calllson Jotned us agaln and also Nancy Dun ham and Kay Taylor Mr Charles Kerr was our teacher As erghth graders we were erght strong unt11 Leah Robrnson moved to Latham rn the sprlng Buddy Page had Jolned us early rn the fall Mr Kerr was agarn our teacher When we began our Iugh school Journey we were on top of the world We found that Jlmmy Calhson and Marrlyn Selvage had moved Thrs year we gained Arlene Campbell lee Ayres and Larry Bradley James Young was our class sponsor Arlene Campbell and Lee Ayres left before our Sophomore year began We gamed no classmates Bob Srsk was our sponsor When we came back to school as Junlors we found that Larry Puce and Buddy Page would not be wrth us After the frrst semester we also lost Jean logsdon Mrs Hazel Bartholomew was our class sponsor As Senrors we lost Larry Bradley and gamed Charles Carson Thus our Senior class ts composed of four studenm They are L1nda Hlldrbrand Margre Cmsel Leah Robrnson and Charles Carson Our class sponsor IS Gordon B Wrlson Lrnda IS the only or1g1nal member of the class of 57 Sponsored by DON S STUDIO BOLMAN S MARKET Augusta Kansas Augusta Kansas
