They were as follows: Junior Play- ,The title of our Junior Play was MEN ARE LIKE STREETCARS. It was the hilarious story of a teenage girl trying to get her older sister married off, and how she lost the good graces of both her family and her friends before she was able to straighten things out. 'Joanne Huyck, as Maudie, was the star of the play. It was directed by Mr. Story and presented on April Z3 and 24, 1953. ' Prom - When we, the class of 1954 put on the prom in our Junior Year 1953, we really put on a good one. A It was the most expensive, most beautiful, and the most acclaimed Prom that old LaSalle High has ever seen. The Theme was Manhatten Serenade and the gym was modeled after the famed C1ub 21 in expert fashion. Junior 4' Senior Banquetk The Banquet, held shortly after the Prom, in the atmosphere of the Club Zl, was a very special event for us as it lifted us from the ranks of underclassmen to the elite of LHS. A delicious meal was prepared by the mothers of the Class of '54 and it was served by the Class of '55, Speeches were made by John Monville, president of the Class of '53, and Louis MacDonald, our Junior Class President. Entertainment was furnished by Lois Martineau and Norma Paquin.
