RUDE, CRUDE AND UNATTFQACTIVE What's a nice girl like you doing in a game like this? Contact sports are for boys only. Whoever said flag football was a non-contact sport is crazy. The annual Powder Puff football game all started by a challenge is- sued over the intercom by the Se- niors, which Egged on a retort from the Juniors. As if that weren't enough, little shows of spirit and pride sprang up in the way of yells in the halls, scattered decorations, and dishonest spying on the other teams. Although it took them awhile, the boys finally broke down. Suddenly, they too were becoming excited about the big game. When the game finally arrived, ev- eryone was so lost in the excitement that someone even forgot the tickets! After the grand entrance of both teams, the battle began, and what a battle it was! With injured girls lying on the sidelines, it became clear that it was more than just flag foot- ball. After name calling, unneces- sary roughness and two overtimes the game was deemed a tie at 18-18. The Juniors left the field happy that they weren't beaten, but the Seniors were disappointed because they hadn't won. GODSPELL ADDS NEW DIMENSION TO PARABLES qAbove7 Debbie Edgreen, Cindy Husted and Lisa Gaus mournfully sing after the crucifi- xion. 1RightJ Melinda Stephens gets a hug from Jesus at the end of Day By Day. Godspell , a musical based on parables from the book of Matthew in the Bible, was presented by the music department last spring and summer. The musical showed the teachings of Jesus in skits and lively songs. Each performance was ended with a standing ovation. The cast included Fionnie Howell as Jesus, Greg Tarvin as Judas, and Joan Deeter, Joy French, Lisa Gaus, Melinda Stephens, Julie Olesky, George Paulsel, Denny Plummer, Tex Green, Mark Fulton, Cindy Hus- ted, Bobby Schuyler and Debbie Ed- green as disciples. iLeftl Melinda Stephens asks the musical question What is moble nowadays? iFtightl Ftonnie Howell, as Jesus, starts the musical off with a stirring soliloquy.
