HCME ECO OMIC The Home Economics Department offers girls a chance to increase their skills in cooking, sewing, and general homemak- ing. In Clothing I and II girls learn all the stages of clothing construction and have a chance to participate in the annual fashion show. In Cooking I and II they learn to prepare meals that are tasty as Well as nutritious. DRI ER EDUCATIO A. Vennari Alexander Vennari . . . A.B.g Fairmount Stateg Driveris Education. Driveris Education is a very important course at Lansdowne. While learning the mechanics of driving, the students are also being taught the importance of safety on the road and traffic laws in a modern age. This course aids society by molding good drivers out of many stu- dents. The course includes both a classroom and a laboratory Where the students may gain personal experience behind the Wheel under the guidance of Mr. Ven- nari. DIVER IF IED OCCUPATIO The department of Diversified Occupa- tions offers an excellent opportunity every year for over fifty seniors to acquire some practical Work experience While continu- ing their studies. In the morning the stu- dents enrolled in the program attend regular classes. At noon they leave the school to report to their jobs. While work- ing at these jobs, students earn credits toward graduation.
