HCME ECO OMIC The Home Economics Department offers girls a chance to increase their skills in cooking, sewing, and general homemak- ing. In Clothing I and II girls learn all the stages of clothing construction and have a chance to participate in the annual fashion show. In Cooking I and II they learn to prepare meals that are tasty as Well as nutritious. While learning the mechanics of driving, the students are also being taught the importance of safety on the road and traffic laws in a modern age. This course aids society by molding good drivers out of many stu- dents. The course includes both a classroom and a laboratory Where the students may gain personal experience behind the Wheel under the guidance of Mr. Ven- nari. DIVER IF IED OCCUPATIO The department of Diversified Occupa- tions offers an excellent opportunity every year for over fifty seniors to acquire some practical Work experience While continu- ing their studies. In the morning the stu- dents enrolled in the program attend regular classes. At noon they leave the school to report to their jobs. While work- ing at these jobs, students earn credits toward graduation.
