USIC The Lansdowne High School Music Depart- ment is able to offer our students a wide range of musical experiences. Concert Band, Special Instru- mental ensembles, and class piano make up the instrumental program. Choral music also offers a variety of opportunities. Students may choose from Chorus, Varsity Choir, Cirls' Chorus, Con- cert Choir, and a special Madrigal Chorale ensem- ble. Of course none of these courses would be possi- ble without the hard work of our faculty. Mr. Rieker, who is Department Chairman, works with the Concert Band. Mr. Dubbs, who is new to Lansdowne, comes to us with experience and the willingness to work hard with his students. Their efforts helped to make this year the musical suc- cess it was. M. Dubbs C. ART Art is manls reflection of self. It is a record of the infiuence upon his life by the civilization in which he lives. The students at Lansdowne must give equal value to all forms of living arts in the courses which they take. To express themselves they must make contemporary or past examples function as one natural expression. They receive instruction in this process from Mr. Counihan, who is department chairman, Mr. Hyde, and Mr. Cameron. -- ' -. 7: M D. Cameron A. Counihan R. Hyde Derek Cameron . . .
