Below: The team relaxes for a moment before the volley of questions begins. 177 HIGH SCHOOL BGWL On Tuesday, March 2, a grou of students from Lansdowne traveled to the studgos of WMAR-TV where they challenged a team from Southern High School. The team, led by Captain john Ea- kin also included Martin Britt, Daniel Nordin, Iohn Ridgway and Nancy Catterton who served as alternate. These students were coached by Mr. Canfield and Mr. Harmeyer who were made proud by the team's excellent showing of competence in many fields. The final score of 235-20 helped establish Lansdowne's academic reputation.

RINC CEREMO Y On january 28, the class of ,72 received their school rings. This long awaited moment was celebrated with a formal cere- mony Which Was held at night. Cuest speakers from their class and from the faculty spoke to the Juniors before the rings Were distributed. The Iuniors Hled through a replica of their school ring, While Mr. Cohen and Miss Rubinstein, the class advisors, distributed the rings. After the ceremony, a semi-formal dance was held. Music, provided by The Band of Cold, helped to make this an evening not soon to be forgotten by the members of the Junior Class. THOUSAN D CLOWN S The year 1970 saw the play A Thousand Clowns presented by the Drama Department at Lansdowne. The lead roles went to Tom Biden as Murray, Io Ann Zawitoski as Sandra, the social worker, and Kevin Priebe as Nick, Murray's nephew, The rest of the cast consisted of Pete Maholchic, Rick Galvin and Mike Miller. The play was about a carefree bachelor whose way of life is chal- lenged by society because of his treatment of his nephew. Above: Sandra poses a psychological question to Nick as an amused Murray looks on.
