AR ITY BASKETBALL The mighty Varsity Vikings had a fine season this year as they did their best to get to the top of the county,s standings. The team stomped their way to twelve victories while suffering only three de- feats in conference games. Each member of the team contributed much to the suc- cess of the Vikings. Two outstanding players were captains Dave Picker and Roger McCammon. The team,s drive to the state championships was stalled by the loss of McCammon, the top scorer, and Steve Iackson, the Vikings' play- maker. However, this was not enough to prevent the Vikings from giving an excel- ent account of themselves over the course of the entire season. The team finished a close second in their division this year and they hope to go all the way in the state championships next year.
