This year many of the Junior Varsity players advanced to Varsity so Coach Michalski had to depend on newcomers for the team's strength. 1971 should hold much promise for the Iunior Varsity Vikings. . . BA KETBKLL Although this year's J.V. Cagers did not have an outstanding record, they had some great individual players who will be top prospects tor next year's Varsity. In spite of their inexperience, the team still managed a respectable record. This was Mr. Barefordis first year as coach here at Lansdowne and the experience he has gained insures a successful season next year. The Iunior Varsity team consisted of Freshman, So homores, and juniors. The team was leadjbyt captain Doug Drenner. Bill Gorman, an outstanding layer on both defense and offense, was Sie team's top rebounder and high scorer. The squad is certain to provide outstanding players who will till the open spots on our Num- ber one Varsity team next year.
