Although they were never really out of any of the games, they came away without a win this season. FOOTBALL Led by Captains Bill Brown and John Litchfield, this year's Lansdowne Varsity Football team had trouble generating enough offense to win a game. The star defensive player or Bandit', was Steve LaFontaine, while the leading offensive player or Tiger was Mike La.Fontaine. CIRL ' BASKETBALL - VARSITY CHAMP Lansdowne,s girls, teams have always been overshadowed by the boys' teams. This year, however, they roved they could be number one, too. The girls' var- sity basketball team came through their league season with a sharp 7-I record to capture the Western Division Crown. This earned them the chance to meet Parkville to decide the county champion- ship. Although the girls played a good game, they were defeated by a strong Parkville team. In spite of this defeat, the girls are proud of their victories and hope to go all the way next year.
