.S'ElVl0R L'lv45'5 fil.S'70RJ' lEd. NoTe - The following is from a recenT reporT made by Trick Dacy offer studying The Class of '52l I began The sTudy back in Sepiember of '49, A group of boys and girls enTered Lanier High School as Sophomores. From eyewiTnesses I learned ThaT They appeared bewildered and ignoranT of Their surroundings. IT was noTiced, however, ThaT They enTered wholehearTedIy inTo many school acTivi- Ties, and aT The end of The firsT year They had gained self-confidence and had conTribuTeaI much To The school. The nexf year They wenT under The alias of Juniors. The class was well represenfed on The aThle- Tic field, in The class room, and in all The exfra - curricular acTiviTies, This was The year The Toorball Team was undefeaTed, The Band won Top honors in The STaTe ConTesT, The baskeTbaII Team won The dis- TricT championship, and The Glee Club gave some of The mosT enTerTaining concerTs in iTs hisTory. Near The end of The yearThese Juniors sponsored a STunT Nighf which was well received by The sTudenT body, according To arTicles in The Blue and WhiTe , The school newspaper, which is ExhibiT A. The second year of my sTudy was compleTed. Now The parTs of The puzzle were beginning To fall in place. I needed buT one piece To com- pIeTe The picTure. I was sure The final TesTimony could be found in whaT was now The Senior Class, so I conTinued my sTudy. This was The mosT imporTanT year of The Class of '52, They were looked up To by The resT of The sTudenT body. A presidenT of The sTudenT body and represenTaTives were elecTed for The Tirsf Time, marking The advancemenT in loeTTer STualenT - FaculTy relafions. IT was evidenT ThaT These Seniors knew ThaT They were To seT The examples for oThers, and To be The leaders. They worked hard ThaT year, boTh aT sfudies and acTiviTies, and The Time passed quickly. AlmosT before realizing iT They were To graduaTe. In May of '52, The picfure was compleTe. COMMENTS: From my observaTions, I conclude ThaT This class is worThy of praise. In all ThaT They underfook This class proved iTself loyal To Lanier. I am sure as They go ouT inTo life Thar They will con- Tinue To up-hold ideals They learned aT Lanier, and ThaT They will never forgeT The happy memories of Their high school days.
