Students Serve at Dances and Assemblies On- aliternaite Fridays, the Lane Social is the gathening place of teenagers from all -over the Chicago area, who come to dance and get acquainted. The socials are run by the Lane SOCIAL CENTER COMMITTEE with the help ot ia few adulit advisors. Hard work and co-op- eratioirii make their complex job simple, and the decorations, coat checking system, and all- airound operation at the sacials have been strongly acclaimed by the many visitors from the Board at Education. The Scciiial Center Committee provides the atmosphere necessary for teenagers to relax and enioy themselves. Distrilbuited among the various offices in the school are an industrious group of Lane students acting as OFFICE AIDES during their study periods. Their work, which ranges from preparing bulletins and absentee reports to sorting and distributing the mail, is greatly appreciated by the teachers and clerks whose tasks they lighten. In addition to receiving service points for their work, the aides gain office experience and help accomplish the complex clerical job required to manage Lane. MR.
