Mechanics Study Automotive Principles Roaring gasoline engines are often heard in the southwest wing of the building where three shops constitute' the AUTO SHOP progriam, The one-semester course is taken in three sepa- rate parts: engine shop, body and feindier shop, and electrical shop. A semester of ad- vanced training is also available to those who are interested. ln these shops the students learn about engine and frame structures, the different types of paint finishes and body de- signs, and the automobile's complex electrical system. The experience gained in this shop is of great value to students who enjoy working on cars and can purchase their own. :we-4 RECORDING THE RESULTS of a test, Stanley Kubala and John Klein finish a job in auto shop which provides actual experience in repairing an engine. MOUNTING A MOTOR donated to the school, Kenneth Balon positions it critically over a sup porting frame before lowering it into place in an auto shop. all
