Freshmen Learn Basic principles ots astronomy, physics, biology, and chemistry are covered in the GENERAL SCIENCE course. Experiments that deal with wearther, optics, and the eyes enable the student to'more easily accept the prin- ciples presented to him in classwork. Films enable the teachers to bring the students up to date on scientific topics such as space flights, weather forecasting, and star map- ping. l.ane'is General Science classes try to create an authentic interest in the students with closs work which is enjoyable and inter- esting as well as informative. Ns... Biologists Examine Complex Grganisms Examination of lite processes, Darwin's Theory of Evolution, and the classification of living things are included in the study of BIOLOGY. The student obtains knowledge not only from books but also trom actual obser- vation and dissection of plants and animals in experiments. By analyzing the ainatomy of laboratory animals, the biology student gains a better understanding ot the structure of man. In addition to interesting laboratory work, he must tackle and master challenging reading material and vocaibulary.
