Although Lane already has one of the most extensive and comprehensive MATHEMATICS programs onthe high school level, the program is always being improved. Three years of mathematics, encompassing algebra, plane geometry, trigonometry, and intermediate al- gebra, is sufficilent for graduation but is not regarded as enough by our engineering-inclir ed student body- Some students go on to more challenging courses, such as college algebra, solid geometry, analytic geometry and cal- culus, with logic, boolean algebra, and set theory included in another course. Numerous awards won by our students in Science Fairs and regional and state Math Contests have oroven the efficiency and effectiveness of Laine's emphasis on accelerated mathematics MATHEMATICS Left to Right: Miss Elizabeth Stiller, Mrs. Esther Missner, Mr. James Keenan, Mr. James Gerber.
