LANCASTER HIGH SCHOOLS Commerce Club is also .a product of l9Z0 initaatlse Our most brilliant achievement in the scholastic line however and the one upon which we pride ourselwes the most as the degree of perfection to which We have mused the Vldelte Indeed the publication this vear far overshadow ed tr'ose of previous years both in quality and quantity and our Christmas and May numbers regular monthly issues surpassed exen the annuals o preaious classes The Vzdetle now ranks among the best high school publications in the country Socially we kept pace with our achiexements in general scholar sl ip and athlet cs We held sexeral affairs which were unequalled an success chief among which were the l970 Reception the Senior Prom nd the Vzdette dance Financially the latter eaent was one of the 1 ost successful eaer held by ana class and made possible the unexcelled May issue And now as we look back at our career we cannot help but feel tnat we haxe been successful We h ae tried an small measure to re tirn the great benefits bestow ed upon us bv our Alma Mater by faith tally upholding her honor her principles her traditions and bv giving our best whether an school or on the athletic field With indomitable courage and high hope we face the future proud of what L H S has ties and we are sure that although we are about to pass forever from lcr protection our Alma Mater will ewer haae a warm place an our l Parts Charly- Lilaz-21 ffliiliflifll The time for the closing scene of our school drama has arrived and we the actors and actresses are taking our plate for our parts in the liial chorus As Freshmen we reali7ed our place and acted accordingly Timad nd slas but serv willing to learn and always anxious to support school undertakings Wc came back in our Sophomore year with a feeling of great superiority ow er the new Freshmen and we started upon our Sophomore career with the idea of making the Class of l9ZU a class that would lt looked up to and honored by the under classmen This wear fue new teachers were added to the facultv Miss I andis Mass Ellmaker Mass Sullivan Miss Stonesifer and Miss Bitnei Our class colors blue and white and the design for our pennants v ere selected this year We also published an issue of our school maga I ne the Vzdctte the only class that has exer done this Then came our Junior year By this time we were recogn17ed by all otlaer classes and they whispered and admitted among themselaes 'naturally thea would not let us hear ltr that we w ere the best class in Hagh School 18 T K I I .
