Basketball The Lancaster Bobcats of '47-+8 have written athletic history in the annals of Lancaster High School. Although this little team was often thrown against much larger teams, they came out to win and made a very good impression on the minds of the fans. The Bobcats used a pressing defense very successfully with a deliberate offense winning ll games and losing only -If Cat the time the Reflector went to press.j Although the Bobcats suffered many injuries this season they still played very hard, and in the county tourney they were runner-up l ' l f' l l after 'in oxeitime and then only by two points Lan- to Ossian who defeated tiem in tie ina s on y . V Y .. . easter received the Sportsmanship trophy for good conduct and sportsmanship shown throughout tht tourney. ln their second game after the tourney they defeated the llonmouth lfagles, who were thc Adams County Champs, by f0i11' poimg, Thig is one of the slickest, snappiest little teams Lancaster has had. They had gone undefeated the entire season last year and at the time the Reflecf tor went to press they had suffered but one defeat so far this season. These hoys have really heen battling some tough teams, and their record is very good. llore power to them so they can have two very success- ful seasons.
