The Student Council. composed of the class presidents and vice-presidents.
and Mr. Witten. have been doing their part with the school organization this
year.
The first meeting was held to select the officers. The following persons were
elected: President, Richard Iretonl Vice-President. Harold Dunifon: and Secretary-
Treasurer. Martha Eaken.
During the year. the Student Council sponsored several activities. such as the
annual athletic banquet for the basketball squad, teams were chosen to play vollev
ball. and ping-pong playing is usual. We hope to continue to expand our activities
more and more each year,

EARL MATTHEWS
Our Janitor
Mr. Matthews keeps our school
building warm and comfortable. He
keeps our school clean and our trees
and shrubbery trimmed. Mr, Mat-
thews lived on a farm up until 10
years ago. He was superintendent of
the Van Wert County fair grounds
for six years, For three years he
was mail messenger between the
post office and the Pennsylvania
Railroad depot. He is known for
his good-smelling pipe and his
laughter.
