They were: Chloe Anderson, Mahilda Aschliman, Donna Bell, Edwin Brindle, Richard Brown, Alyce Campbell, Madelyn Clark, Jack Claussen, Vance Couch, Naomi Crozier, Betty Deihl, Max Deihl, Merle Dick, Doris Diehl, Mary Ann Duncan, Robert Durr, Doris Elzey, Alice Fiechter, Robert Foster, Robert Freeman, Kenneth Gerber, Nina Gibson, Viv- ian Guntle, Guila Hinton, Marie Hougendobler, Waneta Kean, Alice Krummen, John Lude, Valda Macon, George McClain, Virginia Myer, Evelyn Myers, Wilma Potter, William Price, Sterling Reber, Floyd Reece, Aldulla Reinhard, Jay Ross, Raymond Sample, Louise Smith, Helen Steffen, Norma Steffen, Maxine Wolf, and Wendell Wolf. The following students joined us during the year: Glema Maupin, Bonnie Mechling, and John Schwartz. Robert Foster, Vivian Guntle, Virginia Myer, and Raymond Sample left us. One morning in January we were very shocked at the sudden death of one of our members, Jay Ross. In a meeting held on October 4, we elected the following officers: Chloe Anderson, Pres- ident: Kenneth Gerber. Vice-President: Waneta Kean, Secretary-treasurer. Miss Camp- bell was our class sponsor. On October 26, a weiner roast was held at the school tiuilding. In the second semester we had a skating party at Decatur. On March 25, .1 minstrel was given by the mixed chorus under the supervision of Miss Swisher. Twenty-two members of our class participated. On September 2, ISHS, with one new m ember, Betty Barger, we enrolled for our Sophomore year. The members that didn't enroll with us were: Mahilda Aschliman, Alyce Campbell, Vance Couch, Betty Deihl, Ma1'ie Hougendobler, Waneta Kean, Aldulla Reinhard, Maxine Wolf, and Wendell Wolf. During the year two of our former mem- bers, Alyce Campbell and Maxine Wolf, came back. Norma Steffen and Floyd Reece withdrew. The class officers were: Richard Brown, President: Edwin Brindle, Vice- President: Doris Elzey. Secretary-treasurer. Mr. Decker was our class sponsor. During this year we had two parties. On November 4, we had a party at the school building and on lNIarch lb, we had a skating party at Huntington. In the fall of 1939 with 29 members we started our Junior year. The new students ioining us that year were: Elmer Aeschliman, Edna Brown, and Ed VValsh.
