We had a nice Time discussing our high school days. Of all people, Suzie BoaTrighT and Karen STewarT were The sTewardesses. We gossiped abouT our old school chums. Jim said ThaT Bill Hendrix is now presidenT 0T Gano Research LaboroTories. Roger Taylor is one of his Top assisTanTs. Diane said ThaT Sharon Carver is execuTive secreTary To CI big adverTising company in New York and Ernie DeBord is The presidenT. As I am off The plane, l was meT by Marvin Kinch. AfTer all These years, he sTill hasnTT made up his mind whaT he wanTs To Clo. He rode wiTh me To The hotel. WiTh Harold PhilpoT dri-ving, we had To hold on For dear life. AT The hoTel, I had my hair seT aT JoAnn's BeauTy Parlor, proprieTor JoAnn Parman and assisf- anTs Brenda Lewis and Lois Rice. When Marvin left, he said he was going To Jack NorTorI and Gordon Dixon's Barber Shop for a haircuT. January 20 Dear Diary, Turned on The Television This morning and There was Gene Beaver, who is covering The inau- guraTion. By The way, his broTher, Jack, is a successful pharmacisT in WesT Palm Beach, and Their old buddy, Gary Aufranc, is a pharmacisT in Russia. The roving reporTer, Willa BaxTer, was inTerviewing The many people aT The inauguraTion scene, some of whom were Sara Howard, SenaTor; PaTTy EllioT, Judy Kline, and Joyce Nicely, Congresswomen. She also inTerviewed Richard Wesseler, SecreTary of AgriculTure and AssisTanT, Kenny STidham; Ray Even, SecreTary of Army; Floyd Rockwell, ATTorney General, and his legal secreTary, Harri'eT Gallaher, and am- bassadors Richard Simone, Arville Dunson, and Dave Meddings. The PresidenT,s wife looked very nice. AT Donna's Salon, her hair was sTyled by Donnc CorneTT and her assisTanT Norma Harper. Her OUTFIT was especially designed for The occasion by JUdiTh Behan. The children were noT There. The family doctor, Linda Waggoner, advised ThaT They sTay home wiTh Their nurse, Peg SmiTh. Louise Dollna sang The NaTianal AnThem as ET has never been sung before. DHE was sworn in by Chief JusTice STeve Curtis. WaTching The inauguraTion Today, I Spied in The crowd, Bill Abner, Paul Hansel, Ann Brucker, Janice Ballinger, Jim Dingham, JaneT HamilTon, Linda Condan, and Ray HamilTorI. l was Talking To one of The PresidenT's secreTaries, Carol Rich, afTer The inauguraTion, and she said ThaT The PresidenT received Telegrams of con graTUlaTions From Barbara Cole, Floyd SmiTh, Wanda Woodrum, Bob Wilkinson, Florence SingleTon, and Dave Francis. January 23 Dear Diary, Clyde, my DEAR husband called Today To say ThaT he had iusT been promoTecl To vice- pres- idenT of his company. He said his new private secreTary is Sandy Mercer. Charles Dingmon is his head accounTanT. OThers on his sTan are Linda Bell, Karen Norvell, and Sue Mehl He also said someone robbed The company. John HazleTon of Morgan's DeTecTive Agency is in charge of The invesTigaTion. Bonnie Fee, The famous maThemaTicion, meT wiTh PresidenT Today on problems obouT The budgeT. Olympic sTQTs, Barbara Wise and Marlene Allen are enjoying Their Hold age in Hawaii; Denny Meyer and Gordon Word in Alaska.
