TOP GUNS Lakewood students only strived to be the best. Whether academic or athletic, you could be sure that LHS would always try to come out on top. Some extraordinary students set themselves apart by their dedication to success. The end- less workouts and practices helped to develop our most out- standing athletes. The potential 4.0 ' s endured a different, but just as grueling, mental challenge in pursuit of their perfect grade point averages. Our musicians went through many hours of repetition to get it jusi right, as did our dramatists. The pressures to be the best, in the face of strict competition, set these Top Guns apart from the rest. This is a tribute to their sacrifices to achieve greatness. They brought outstand- ing recognition to themselves and to Lakewood High School. 1 6 Top Guns

DRESSED TO IMPRESS You are what you wear, and many Lancers were dressed to impress each and every day. Some Lancers went for the casual look of sweats and Lakewood High School fashions, while others liked to put on a suit and tie every morning. Even some of the Lakewood teachers had a style of their own. Some of their statements may have been strange, or a bit loud, but they were statements to be sure. Another concern of LHS students is HOW they looked in their clothes. The health trend of the 1 980 ' s, aerobics, was one way that Lancers chose to have the desired look. However, one thing was certain. The motivation behind the fashions at LHS was to give a good impression. No matter what they wore, or how they looked, you could be sure that the idea was Dressed to Impress , along with dressed for success. 1 8 Dressed To Impress
