RA TED PG Who says teen-agers don ' t gel along with their parents? Many Lancers made it a point to include their parents in many of their activities, is it so strange that a daughter might want her mother ' s advice on an outfit for school, or is it just a scheme to get hold of the credit cards? Could a son enjoy his father ' s company and conversation while working underneath the hood of his brand new car, or could it be that he really needs help? Whatever the reasons may have been, many LHS students were fond of spending time with their parents, and saw the need to seek advice from Mom and Dad whenever possible. The bond between parents and their teenagers was a constant that endured now and for all time at LHS. The students and parents of Lakewood High School, special people who know that being together is the most important thing of all.

SIMPLY CAN ' T RESIST RcsisUnuw like palicnco, is a irluc, and when il comes to certain things. Lancers tried to be virtuous. Food was one thing that definitely tested their dedication to that ideal. Whether it was a healthy salad, or sinful chocolate chip cookies, a quick meal at a fast food franchise, or just munch- ing goodies 24 hours a day, you could be sure that Lancers had difficulty resisting. LHS students were known to plan gath- erings just for the sake of eating. Have you ever heard of a TOGO party? Not a toga party, but a TOGO party? This is where the main attraction is a six foot sandwich that towers over your head. What could be more irresistable than that? The connection between Lakewood High School students and their favorite foods made the idea of resistance an impos- sibility. Attempt to be virtuous, nice try. Simply Can ' t Resist I 5
