The Taste Of Success Success is not a giftg it is earned. Success is achieved only by effort, and even then it is not guaranteed. The LHS spirit is a dedication to success, to the pursuit of excellence. Making an A on a tough trig test, scoring the final goal in a soccer match, finding the impossible unknown in chem lab, meeting your best friend for lunch in the quad, having an undefeated football season, talking with an administra- tor about the future were all ingredients in a successful year. Success meant reaching deep inside and bringing out the best, whether it was an individual or group effort. In lI,984, the Lancers were successful and did bring out the est. 1.
