Life in the Fast Lane Weekends only came once every five days and only lasted for two, so Lancers had to savor every minute. Besides work and homework, there were countless diversions to enjoy. Some stu- dents enjo ed competition in racing, rodeos and various shows. Others looked forward to heading to the beach, the desert or the local mountains. The US concert series was very popular, while movies and cable television specials also had a large following. The one activity that everyone enjoyed on the weekend was getting a little extra sleep. 1. MONICA DE CILLIS, DONNA FAY and ROBBIE LASSERS take a moment to ponder the history surrounding the Greek Parthenon. 2.
