You will always find that an icy stillness reigns over the audience as they listen intently to the excel- lent music which is coming from the choir. Whether the audience is made up of children or adults the attention never wanders from the stage. Page 107 Cinema Representatives Each morning in every home room the Cinema representa- tives are giving their time and energy to help promote the yearbook. Although they work together to make the Cinema a financial success, a spirit of friendly rivalry exists. It is an honor to have obtained the 100 per cent subscription of one's home room, and the Cinema representatives work tirelessly at that goal. It is no easy task to keep the accounts of the individual members of the home room. For each payment that a person makes there are records to fill. The responsibility of keeping accurate track of the money re- ceived is great, but the representatives seldom make errors. To them comes the opportunity to become members of the Cinema circulation staff in following years. Because dur- ing their years of work as Cinema representatives they have had a living acquaintance with one of the most important functions of the Cinema they may in the future be en- trusted with the highest responsibilities in the production of the Cinema. Auto Club . . The Lakewood High Auto Club was formed to fill the long felt need of a competent method of teaching pupils to drive safely. For three years it has fulfilled its purpose, and has become one of the most popular clubs in the school Before the members ever learn the fundamentals about autos and driving, they are taught the more important lesson on safety rules and regulations and courtesies on the highway, which may prove to be lifesavers Sergeant G. H. Campbell and Mr. A. K. Cook, the sponsors of the club, feel that if the high school pupils of today are taught the fundamental lessons of cooperation on the road, driving in future years will become safer and easier The club is proud to announce that since its conception in 1936 the Auto Club has been largely responsible for the reduction of accidents in which Lakewood High School students were involved, and that members of their club are rarely accused of violations of traffic rules.
