DA VID C. CORREA Dave entered Lakeside in the fall of '51, and it was soon learned that he could apply his knowledge of science to produce an automotive monstrosity that moved, and a baffled Mr. Goldsmith. His magnanimous questions in chemistry are indicative of Dave's college plans for a career in physics. Toward basketball and base- ball seasons Dave left the labs to participate on the Parson's team. JOHN LOUIS CURZON Little john came to Lakeside his freshman year as a boarder from Holden, Washington. Well-liked john did everything at Lake- side. He participated in all athletics, club and varsity, making his letter in his sophomore year in baseball. john was active in student government too as Secretary of Brownells in junior and senior years, Sergeant-at-Arms of the Student Body, Vice President of the Sopho- more Class, President of the Athletic Council, member of the Dorm Council and Senate. He also received the President's Medal in his junior year, and the honor of being elected basketball co-captain in his senior year. CHARLES DA VIS Entering Lakeside as a freshman, Charlie has left an impres- sion on the school not only athletically, but scholastically. Being the editor of the TATLER and a participator in Whitcomb golf, track, tennis and fencing squads has not kept Charlie from being a consistent Gold Star winner and a frequent member of the Honor Roll. His well planned TATLERS will always remain as a good example for future TATLER editors. PETER V. N. DENMAN Peter came to Lakeside in 1951 as a boarder from San Fran- cisco. He was very active in student organizations, being elected President of the 1952 Glee Club and serving as chapel organist. Peter did very well scholastically, being on the Honor Roll and receiving the Gold Star for three quarters. Although his studies kept him very busy, Pete still found time for athletics. He played club football, tennis, and turned out for the track team. Ten

WILLIAM L. BRADY When half-time entertainment was needed at basketball games, Brady's sword would be there skillfully manipulated to test some elusive opponent. As well as fencing, Bill was active in club base- ball and rifle. Although he enrolled in mid-semester of '52, Brady soon earned a scholastic name for himself, and more than .once Mr. Bleakney found it difficult to be victorious in some learned argu- ment. l MICHAEL A. BRIGGS Mike entered Lakeside in the fall of '49 with a television set and a machine of his own ingenuity that automatically speaks meliferous praise of Wenatchee. He leaves Lakeside with a record of activities-member of the Drama Club, Ski Club, Dormitory Council, Outing Club, a reporter for the TATLER and writer for the NUMIDIAN. He was a further asset to the Brownell Club in football, basketball, and track and played varsity basketball in his senior year. But Mike was not one to sacrifice studies for activities as his name frequently appeared on the Honor Roll and the Gold Star. JOHN STEWART CALVERT In his six years at Lakeside, johnny has become well known both scholastically and athletically, as can be shown by his record of three years on the Gold Star, one year on the Honor Roll, two football letters, and three baseball letters. Iohnny has also been active in student government, in which he was vice-president of his freshman class, president of his sophomore and junior class, and three years a member of the Senate. FRED B. COLLINS Fred, the ingenious wit of the class, came to Lakeside in his freshman year. Being especially capable with a tennis racket, he has been top man on the tennis team for the past two years. In addition to being active on this and last year's basketball squads, Fred also served on the Senate inlhis senior year. Nine

WILLIAM G. FRIEND President of both the Whitcomb Club and the Student Body this year, Bill has been on the Honor Roll two years and the Gold Star three years out of the three that he has been at Lakeside. Bill, who played club basketball and baseball and varsity football, won a prize book from the Harvard Alumni Association. He was student chairman of the Independent Schools Conference this winter. ALLEN PERCIVAL GREEN, III. Another member of the six-year club, Al has played on Parson football, basketball, and baseball teams and his record includes two years on the Gold Star. In 1947, 1948 and again in 1950 he entered the Lincoln Forum, and in 1951 won the annual TIME Current Affairs Test. ,K RICHARD WALTER HALL Dick was another progenitor of the Class of '53, attending Lakeside for six years. In his three years as a day student and three as a boarder, Dick became known for his good humor and his ability to get along with others. Besides being active in dorm life, he played club baseball and football for the Whitcombs. GEORGE WARREN HEA THMAN Warren entered Lakeside in his freshman year as a boarder from Portland, Oregon. In his sophomore year, Warren was the class representative in the Dorm Council. Also he did a fine fob as manager of the football and basketball teams in his sophomore and junior years. Other athletic activities in which he participated are rifle and golf. Warren, very active in all student affairs, could always be depended upon whenever asked to help out on a fob. One of these was the job of headwaiter. Eleven
