They Iearn to respect and use proper safety procedures while working in hazardous areas. There are three courses of- fered in Industrial Arts: Wood- working I, Woodworking II, and Mechanical Drawing. In Wood- working I the students are intro- duced to the skills of hand and machine tools as applicable to the woodworking industry. Emphasis is placed on development of handtool skills. In Woodworking ll the machine tool skills as applica- ble to advanced cabinet making are emphasized. Mechanical Drawing provides opportunity for students to develop basic drafting skills.

In addi- tion, students also used their creative writing abilities to write journal entries, three-point enumerations, and essays. Juniors and seniors, scheduled two weeks in the school library, were required to write a complete research paper. i
