In addi- tion, students also used their creative writing abilities to write journal entries, three-point enumerations, and essays. Juniors and seniors, scheduled two weeks in the school library, were required to write a complete research paper. i

.Lrg i' , QSM .L at L In today's society there are very few places where one can find a quiet, relaxing atmosphere, where he can go to read a book, newspaper, magazine, gather materials for research paper or report, listen to records and tapes, preview a film that he might have missed in class or just simply browse. Yet in the land of the Rams, one such place does exist, to the Lakeside student it is known as the Lakeside High Library. Amidst all the Ram activities, the library, through the efforts of Mrs. Arnold, our librarian, has maintained an atmosphere for learning and peaceful solitude. LIBRIIRY si,,,N .

J View ' W N bf ,. .Eg Q rl l The Lakeside Industrial Arts De- partment provides students with the opportunity to learn and de- velop good work habits. They Iearn to respect and use proper safety procedures while working in hazardous areas. There are three courses of- fered in Industrial Arts: Wood- working I, Woodworking II, and Mechanical Drawing. In Wood- working I the students are intro- duced to the skills of hand and machine tools as applicable to the woodworking industry. Emphasis is placed on development of handtool skills. In Woodworking ll the machine tool skills as applica- ble to advanced cabinet making are emphasized. Mechanical Drawing provides opportunity for students to develop basic drafting skills.
